Short-Term Mission Trips Teams of volunteers spend a week or so going to places having experienced natural disasters: hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, etc.
Backyard Mission TeamThis team generously helps those in our church community with routine maintenance and small repairs around the house.
“GO” Teams These teams contact new visitors and become new friends, offering them love, acceptance and encouragement while inviting them to worship with us again. All are welcome here.
Habitat for Humanity Volunteers from JFUMC participate in helping to provide housing for people who need a helping hand.
Blanket Ministry The hand-knotted blankets are individually made, prayed over and blessed before going out to various groups in the community that need them. They meet the 1st & 3rd Wednesday morning of each month from September until May.
Calvary Refuge Center This group makes sure our college students are not forgotten by sending them notes of encouragement, gift cards and other small goodies.

JFUMC Food Co-Op This group generously distributes food twice a month to to members of the church food co-op. They meet the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month. They also host food giveaways in the church parking lot on various Saturdays during the year.
JUMPP Our JUMPP program provides a variety of opportunities for children ages 1 year through 2nd grade in a Christian-based environment.
Lee Street Elementary Providing volunteers at Lee Street Elementary is the main focus of this group. They also make care packages to distribute to the staffs of Lee Street and JUMPP throughout the year.
Prayer Shawl Ministry Hand knitted & crocheted shawls are made by this special group of volunteers. Once the shalws are complete, they are prayed over, blessed and given to those in need of prayerful encouragement in times of need.
Rise Against Hunger This ministry purchases and packages over 10,000 meals to be sent to hungry people in the United States and around the world.
United Methodist Women (UMW) UMW offers opportunities for spiritual growth, leadership development, mission and service. The UMW is made up of various circles of women throughout the church to focus on special interests of each group. The circles meet at various times, providing flexibility and many opportunities for service.
We believe we are called to a life of witness and welcome as we GO to share the Good News and make disciples of Christ.
