Welcome!

Everyone involved with the Jonesboro UMC Youth Ministry would like to offer you a warm welcome and a heart felt thank you for visiting the website. We have many youth programs from youth missions to youth movie nights. We meet every Sunday at 9:40 for Sunday school and every Sunday night for Youth Worship at 5:45 to 7:30. We also have Youth missions and Youth Bible study every Wednesday night at 6:30 to 7:30. If you have the gift of music we have the Youth Choir that meets for practice at 4:30 on Sunday evenings with Alice Myers. We also meet once a month for JUMA movie night! We come together on a Friday of the month for about three hours and watch movies and play games and just put the pressures of life to the side to have some fun. Every year we have two major fundraisers, the Yard Sale we have every year on the weekend of mothers day, and we also have the Pumpkin Patch that goes through the month of October. Weekly Activities:

Sunday School:

Classes meet in the Youth House (located in the back parking lot) on Sunday mornings from 9:40-10:40 a.m. We split up middle and high schoolers, and each group has a bible lesson that is targeted toward that specific age group.

Youth Choir:

The name of this choir is SHINE!, with Alice Myers as the director. We rehearse on Sunday afternoons beginning at 4:30 p.m. We end just in time to make it to youth ... or maybe within 15 minutes or so of when youth begins!

Youth Worship:

We meet every Sunday night from 5:45-7:30 p.m. Join us for fun, food, fellowship and worship that begins in the Christian Activities Building (CAB). Supper is included! We first play games have fun with the other youth. Then, we eat and have fellowship. Last, we head over to the youth house for worship that is geared just for us!

BTW - If you are not driving yourself around yet, tell your parents that for the price of one trip you will get choir, fellowship, supper, and worship on Sunday evenings!

Wednesday Night Bible Study:

Our weekly Bible Study is held on Wednesday nights. We meet from 6:30-7:30 in the Youth House. Join us as we dive into God’s Word and learn how it applies to our lives. Don't forget to bring your Bible!

Special activities/ Gatherings:

Throughout the year, the youth ministry provides many opportunities for our youth. Among these are retreats, mission experiences, adventure opportunities, camps and more!
