Give & GoJesus taught us that caring for our neighbors involves many kinds of outreach. He often healed a person's physical illness before revealing more about himself and God's love. When he healed them physically, he also opened the way for them to be reunited with family and community. In the first century, those diseased of body or mind were unwelcome. We believe, therefore, that to be the body of Christ is to be a church involved in the needs of other. Spiritual needs to be sure, but also to extend a helping and healing hand wherever we can. Below are some of the outreach ministries in which we participate. Aging with Grace Beans and Rice Blood Drive Caring House Compassion International Disaster Relief Team Food Pantry Foster Care Resource Center Friends of Clayton County Disability Services Homeless Offering Noah’s Ark Operation Christmas ( with Salvation Army) Operation Christmas/Shoebox ( with Samaritan's Purse) Samaritan’s Together United Methodist Children’s Home United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) United Methodist Student Day Women’s Prison Ministry |
